I just thought I would share some of the things that made me smile over the past week.
Broody Hens.
Deer grazing in our back field.
Trilliums – Remembering Mom on Mother’s day.
Still some daffodils in bloom.
Dandelion lives matter.
Chives getting ready to blossom.
As are the apple trees.
I know there’s a rabbit in here.
Well maybe not.
I’m a good boy!
The freezing nights are over so I no longer have to worry about my pansies.
Precious!
What made you smile this past week?
K.C. is spot on about puddles and mud boots. And of course there’s a rabbit in that pile of boulders.

We have seen him chase rabbits into that pile but he never flushes them out of there. It’s a great place for them to hide. 🙂

Beautiful photos–and he is a very good boy! Also, those little pink boots are adorable and just right for puddle jumping:-)

Thank you. I have to tell you we had some doubts about how things were going to work out with Ranger. Being a beagle his instinct is to hunt rabbits, squirrels and pheasants. At the farm we have all of the above. On several occasions he has picked up the scent and ran off hunting – running though the neighbors fields and woods, howling and will be gone for three or four hours. My husband has put a lot of time and energy into working with him and he is getting so much better. And he just loves my husband.

Yes, it is – first I bought a pair I’ve not worn yet. They were on sale and are cats and dogs on the boots for “raining cats and dogs” … and I was going to wear them but they are a cloth-covered vinyl boot and I decided I would keep them for the neighborhood where it is just the cement that is wet and not the grass which is often muddy too. So then I got the red vinyl boots which are one piece and you can rinse them off if necessary – kind of like garden boots. I have to post a picture – I’ve accumulated so many photos since I started back on May 1st with the camera, I am running behind posting. I am sure this is not the first rainy spell we’ll have unfortunately.

You destroyed me with “Dandelion lives matter.” Hilarious.

Glad you liked it. It is true though – in our area they are the first abundant food source for the honey bees in the spring. Once the dandelions blossom we know the bees have enough food to keep them going.

Hearing my husband laugh at our kitten and knowing that he is happy we that kept him makes me smile. The kitten also makes me smile because he loves to give me kisses and snuggles.

I enjoyed all your photos. Marvelous!
Grandson David and I tease each other and get tickled at the same things. I smile whenever I think about how easily he laughs and responds to my silliness.
