Hello and Welcome! For our monthly inspiration I have chosen some simple words of wisdom from Mother Teresa.
Do you want to be great? Pick up a broom and sweep the floor. ~ Mother Teresa
We will never know how much just a simple smile will do. ~ Mother Teresa
My secret is simple — I pray. ~ Mother Teresa
Thanks for visiting.

I have at least several Mother Teresa quotes in my collection–all of them simple yet profound. Here’s one I especially appreciate for its encouragement and inspiration: “I’m a little pencil in the hand of a writing God, who is sending a love letter to the world.”

A terrific post, Ruth! That trillium is gorgeous! Thought of your Mother Teresa post about doing something great—get a broom, sweep the floor—as I was sweeping the hen house and barn this early morning!

I had a book of Mother Teresa’s quotes. I wonder if it is tucked away on the bookshelf or if I passed it along. I will have to check, definitely worth rereading. I was happy to see that three little trillums I planted in our woods a couple years ago have made an appearance. I hope they do well. I love them too.

I have to look and see if I have it. If I do I have not read it yet. I glad you have trilliums! 🙂

Mother Teresa’s quotes are not only practical, but peaceful and I have always enjoyed reading them. Believe it or not, I have never seen a trillium – a fine Canadian I am as it is the official flower of Ontario, Canada where I grew up. I look for wildflowers on my woodsy walks and hope to see one some day.

I am surprised you have never seen a trillium. There are a lot of them in wooded areas around here. They do only blossom for a short time (maybe a week) each year.

Maybe I should make that a goal for find and photograph one for next year. I didn’t realize they only lasted for that short of a time.

All simple but true, and great reminders. The trillium is beautiful. I always think as each flower blooms it is like seeing an old friend. I love this time of year.

That’s a great way to put it. I usually look for trilliums around Mother’s Day – I’m glad I walked out back yesterday and spotted them- I might have missed them.
