Hello and Happy May! Longtime readers probably remember that spring is my favorite time of the year, and over all we are having a very nice spring.
For this post I’ve selected some nature related inspirational quotes.
“Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree.” Martin Luther
“Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.” Robert Louis Stevenson
“Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.” Maya Angelou
“Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.” Warren Buffett
Now I’m off to enjoy the sunshine. I hope you are too.
I feel like spring holds the promise of a fresh start. And this year has been absolutely beautiful. Randy found two beautiful little orange pansies left behind at the car wash. They were looking pretty sad , but I put them in the ground and they perked right up. The ones you gifted me when we moved wintered over for two years. Hopefully these will too.

I agree. I love to watch in everything come back to life. I’m glad you rescued the pansies. I hope you have them for years to come. 🙂

Thanks! I love potting up the pansies and putting them out before anything else flowers – they brighten up the neighborhood.

Ruth, your pansies always look so fresh and colorful. I enjoyed your quotes – thank you for sharing them with us. I always say my favorite season is Fall, but with color bursting out everywhere, especially the blossoming trees (and dandelions), I might have to change my mindset.

It’s really not necessary to pick a favorite, is it? We can love things about each season. 🙂

Yes, this is true Ruth. I always associate Spring and Summer with severe weather … maybe that’s why it takes a backseat to Fall to me?

A robin built her home in the pansies that you gave me. I couldn’t figure out how to post the picture here so it is in your email. There was one egg today so we will not be sitting on the front porch for awhile. I did give the pansies a bit of water. And they are growing beautifully up around the nest. The robin and I both appreciate your thoughtfulness.#3

Thanks Nancy. Are you still out west enjoying May? Things are getting so pretty in this part of the country.
