  1. Beautiful pictures. I saw my first hummingbird moth in my petunias that grow in the kitchen window box. I was so fascinated I wasn’t quick enough to snap a photo. It was a lovely little creature. I hope it comes back.

  2. You sure have a lot of pollinators here Ruth – it’s nice to see the butterflies, something I’ve not seen much of this Summer. And bees, some of which will end up in your hive. Your gardens are not only beautiful but a nirvana for winged creatures.

    1. Thanks Linda. We have large patches of milkweed and when I walked the path in the backfield, I saw at least four monarch butterflies fly up out of the field. That was the only photo I was able to get though. There were a lot of other bees and dragonflies as well.

      1. That milkweed is really encouraging the pollinators Ruth. You’re helping both to be sustained before their numbers dwindle down even more. I saw a lot of dragonflies the other day at Lake Erie Metropark, but I did not get a single shot of any of them. I am not quick like you!
