Hello and Welcome!
I suspect I’m in the minority when I say I’m sad to see summer end. Mostly because the cooler temperatures have caused my time in the pond to come to an end. Also, because when autumn arrives, winter (my least favorite season) is just around the corner. For now, I am going to live in the moment and enjoy the many things there are to love about autumn. I hope you do the same.

yes winter is on the way but for today the girls and I are enjoying the crisp mornings and our longer walks again 🐾🐾🐾

Autumn is my favorite season and always has been – that crisp, cool feel and the smells and colors as well. But, like you, I am no fan of Winter. Perhaps, all my working years, if I had had to drive back and forth to work and navigated our Michigan Winters, I’d resign myself to that season, instead of despising it as I do, but I took the bus to Downtown Detroit for many years and caught the bus just around the corner from where I live, so I am no fan of driving in snow/ice. Summer has worn out its welcome with me, but I say that mostly as it ruined many walking days for me. But that said, I will be happy if Summer-like weather stretches a little longer if it is the way it has been the last ten days or so – that is wonderful, though I’m sorry your pond days have come to an end. I see the baking of apple pies, or apple dumplings in your near future Ruth!

Temperatures look comfortable for the 10-day forecast at least. We are getting much needed rain tonight but could use more than what is predicted. This kind of fall weather can stick around as long as it wants.

Yes, I like that forecast. It’s been raining here for about three hours now and we do need the rain. Last week at some of the larger parks, the water level was so low – it seemed to me like we had a lot of rain this Summer, but not so much in August, more heat than rain.

I love this season, autumn especially because my favourite coffee drink a pumpkin spice latte is available! so yummy! And apple pie! Lots of apple pie! And just overall cooler weather!
