What a beautiful bird Ruth. I’ve never seen one and it looks like a red and black version of a Baltimore Oriole. 🙂 I like the verse as well. My calendar quote will be tomorrow – first long post of the new month.

According to the article we are more likely to hear them than see them since they spend most of their time in the treetops. I’m going to start listening for them and maybe get out the binoculars if I hear one.

Beautiful! We don’t have those in our neck of the woods, but our cardinals are lovely and bright this February!

They are supposedly in our area for summer breeding but I’ve never seen one. I haven’t seen my cardinals this winter either. ☹

We have a couple who seem to live in our yard. I feel very lucky to have them!

Have you ever seen one? I’m thinking where you are in the mountains you might have a better chance of seeing one since you have a closer view of some of the tree tops.

Thanks Nancy. I have never seen one but now I know I will have to listen for them since they spend most of their time in the treetops.
