Wordless Wednesday – Things That Made Me Smile

Some of my blogging friends do “Wordless Wednesday” posts (just pictures) and today I decided to join them. I hope you enjoy the photos and if you have any questions about them just leave me a comment and I’ll be sure to answer.

Thanks for visiting.

  1. What lovely pictures. Your farm is thriving. I saw gorgeous lupines. They always remind me of my Mother.
The tadpoles gave me a chuckle. Lots of frogs coming your way.
Thanks for all the happy pictures.

    1. Thanks Nancy. My husband and I went to the nursery to pick out something to plant in memory of our parents. We picked these beautiful lupines.
I’m not sure if these are frog or toad tadpoles. Either way I’m happy to see them as they eat lots of bugs and slugs so are great for the gardens.

  2. Your Wordless Wednesday post is indeed something to smile about Ruth. Spring has sprung at the farm and everything is thriving, with lots of tiny tadpoles too. As a kid, my little friends and I went to the Creek at the end of the street and collected tadpoles in jam or pickle jars. You will have a lot of frogs hopping about this Summer. You’ll have to do another Wordless Wednesday post to show us those grown-up frogs.

    1. I’m not sure if these are frog or toad tadpole because I didn’t see the nests. Either way I’m happy to have them as they eat lots of bugs and slugs.
When we had family over last weekend my great niece caught a tadpole and had it on her hand and was studying it.
I’ll be sure to try to get some good frog/toad pictures.

      1. I didn’t know they ate slugs – that’s great. I had slugs years ago and they ate all my Hostas and Lily leaves. I tried all kinds of things to get rid of them. I hope you get some pics of the tadpoles with legs as well as full grown. Now you need a few pond lilies if they are frogs.
