This song that I haven’t heard or even thought about in ages started playing over and over in my mind on Monday and has stayed with me through the week. It’s not driving me crazy like earworms sometimes do, in fact it is just what I needed this week.
When I looked the song up on YouTube I was surprised to learn that Anne Murray was the original artist. Did you know that?
Wow, that’s an oldie. Yes I did Ruth, but then I’m Canadian and grew up on Anne Murray.

I thought you might. The other person I think might know is my dad. I haven’t asked him but I am sure it was listening with him that I first heard the song.

Very timely. Not the version I remember but I love it.

Many people/groups have done that song. I expect we have heard a few.

I always liked Anne Murray – my favorite song was “Snowbird” back in the day, but I remember this one and did NOT know she was the original artist. I’ve never read anything scandalous about this nice Canadian singer that I can recall. Thank you for sharing it Ruth.

I’ve always been an Anne Murray fan too. I think it was a band named Ocean that made this song popular and many artists have done it as a cover. “Snowbird” is a great song as well.
