Like most people my husband and I enjoy a good pizza, but I have found making homemade pizza that we like to be a challenge. I have yet to master making a good pizza crust and most of the store bought crusts that we have tried just aren’t that good. The exception is BOBOLi pizza crust. Not only does the BOBOLi make a decent pizza it is super easy to use. 🙂

Here’s my recipe.
Ingredients:
BOBOLi Pizza Crust
Pizza sauce
Olive Oil
Garlic (powder, granules or minced)
Oregano Leaves (dried or fresh)
Pepperoni Slices
Artichoke Hearts quartered
Mushrooms sliced (Canned or fresh)
Mozzarella Cheese Shredded
Instructions:
Preheat oven ( I think the crust package says 400 degrees)
Place crust on baking sheet.
Brush crust with a light layer of olive oil.
Sprinkle with garlic and oregano leaves.
Top with a layer of cheese.
Add pepperoni.
Add mushrooms.
Add artichoke hearts.
Add pizza sauce by dropping spoonful’s of sauce over the pizza.
Top with a layer of cheese.
Bake 10-15 minutes.
ENJOY! 🙂
Do make homemade pizza?
What are you favorite pizza toppings?
No, I’ve never tried homemade, because I’m spoiled by the Italian pizza place in town here who makes the best pizza I’ve ever tasted…..nothing else compares. They have one of those Italian ovens for the crust, and lots of cheese and toppings, not skimpy like most pizza places. My mother used to make homemade pizza with the grandkids, mostly to give them something to do as they would help out, but I don’t remember what base she used.

Those kind of places are few and far between now days. You are luck to have one near by.

I love pizza but finding a good gluten free base is hard. The best one is a flatbread made by O’Doughs. Ken can have whatever he likes, of course, so we regularly have homemade pizza–one of our favourite meals!

My sister told me she made a crustless pizza. I asked how – she said she just put all the toppings in a pan and baked it. She said it was good – just eat it with a fork. LOL!

Crust is a challenge, but we don’t care for the local pizzas. I made a decent one when the grandkids were visiting from Michigan using the bread machine dough setting. Still searching for that perfect recipe. I do miss heading over to Murphy’s for their amazing pizzas

We haven’t tried Murphy’s yet. Will have to keep them in mind. Pompeii’s is our favorite. I guess we are blessed to have some good choices in our area.

I want to try it Ruth – I do not want to order pizza and was thinking of making one in a crockpot. I don’t have a crockpot, but was willing to get one and you make it that way –
I fear it would be too doughy or uncooked.
I like this idea.

No, I do not make pizza at home because making the tough is too challenging for me right now. However, I have experimented with making flatbread pizza (store-bought crust) since or twice. My favorite topping is pepperoni. However, I think I’m moving slowly towards more of a “kitchen sink” type of topping.

If I could only have one topping it would always be pepperoni but I do love mushrooms too. Artichokes, spinach, different types of peppers and Italian sausage are good as well.
