Autumn is fast approaching as evidenced by the ripening of our first pie pumpkin.

Nevertheless I will embrace summer as long as we have it. Pumpkin pie can wait! 🙂
Are you looking forward to Autumn?
Fall is my favorite time of year. It always has been.I am back in school. The kids are remote learning, but I am not remote working. When I saw your pumpkin I thought of Autumn and the trees changing and the cool nights I have always loved and thought, “It’s 100 degrees outside! How can you have pumpkins?” 😉

Having pumpkins when it is 100 or even in the high 80’s outside is a dilemma because my husband wants pumpkin pie but we don’t use the oven and A/C at the same time. As soon as it cools off I know what I will be doing. LOL!

Wow – already! I had no idea pumpkins ripened that early. Well, it is nice to have this pumpkin as some harvest decor in the house until the rest of the pumpkins ripen to make pumpkin pie. Autumn is my favorite season even though it is the gateway to Winter. I love the colors, the smells, putting on a sweater or a light jacket, especially after such a hot Summer as we’ve had and are about to head into once again.

It does seem early for pumpkins to be ripe. This one just might have to become pie as my husband does not agree with me that pumpkin pie can wait. LOL.

Oh that’s funny Ruth – I’m betting all that heat we had all Summer will help those pumpkins grow larger than usual.

So glad this makes you happy. 🙂 My husband is not very happy about “the pumpkin pie can wait part”. I have a feeling I’m going to be making some as soon as our weather is cool enough to turn off the A/C. It may be cute but it can be yummy too. 🙂

I do love the fall, the crispness in the air and the vibrant colors are favorites of mine. But it brings shorter days and I really need my sunlight

I know what you mean about the shorter days – then the cold in winter tends to keep me in doors. Enjoy all the sunlight you can get! Looks like we have another hot week coming up. 🙂

Autumn is my favorite season. The weather gets cooler, and leaves change color. Pumpkin pie can wait until Thanksgiving.

My only real problems with autumn is that is the segue to winter and the days getting shorter. Lately it seems like we don’t get much fall here in Michigan. Winter arrives too quickly.

Fall is usually long enough for me, but spring lives up to its name. It springs out and gallops headlong into hot and humid.

I guess that’s why God made 4 seasons. Something for each of us to like. 🙂

Great observation! I thought he made Southern summers to punish me.

LOL! I doubt that you deserve to be punished.

I am looking forward to Autumn. After living in TX for 3 years I seriously appreciate all 4 seasons! Just my own personal preference. 🌞

I do like Autumn but the older I get the less I like the cold so to me Autumn means that winter is coming. I don’t like it when the sun starts coming up later and it starts getting dark so early. Autumn also seems to be a short season – sometimes winter starts too early. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

I used to feel that way and you are right, Autumn does seem short sometimes!
