It was 10 years ago that we last celebrated Mom’s birthday with her.

I don’t have a particular song to dedicate to her – only some of her favorite flowers to share.

I miss you Mom. Sending you hugs in heaven. ♥
I’m so sorry, Ruth. This is a beautiful dedication to her. I hope there are lots of sunflowers where she is 🌻🌻🌻🌻 xxxx

Oh this is such a a short and sweet, but sentimental post Ruth. Hugs to you as it is 10 years since I lost my mom too. At least seeing the sunflowers at the farm will bring you smiles and happy memories of your mom.

Do all moms like sunflowers?

Did yours? They were my Mom’s favorite. I remember the sunflower curtains in her kitchen. Sunflowers are bright and cheery so what’s not to like?

Yes, she did. And poppies.
I’m not a fan of the color yellow, but the flowers are indeed sunny. They make me think of a smiling sun when I look at them.

A lovely remembrance Ruth. I am lucky to still have my mother, and I try and treasure every moment. We spent this afternoon making butter tarts, something she used to make all the time on the farm, but I would say mine were not so good and will need another attempt! PS. That sunflower photo with the barn in the background is stunning!

Thanks Joni. It is a blessing that you still have your mom and that you spend time together doing things like that. You’ll never regret those hours spent, and if it means making another batch of tarts – all the better. 🙂

Sunflowers make me smile. Those are beautiful shots.
My mom loved gardenias. She would pick one, put it in a little vase with a pin on the back, and wear it to church.

Thanks Anne. I think sunflowers are expressive flowers often smiling at us. We can’t help smiling back.
Thank you for sharing the memories of your Mom.
